Ideas for making a blah wall interesting

I've been thinking lately of ways to make my boring bedroom wall more interesting. I've grown tired of looking at a beige, empty, blah wall. I do not want to spend a lot of money and it should be easy to do. While stroling on the net and reading different blogs I saw a few ideas that I thought might be interesting.

I realy love the idea of the room above. It's simple but makes a huge statement. Allthough this idea might take some time to carry out and would need a lot of precision to come out right.

I also love the stripes on the wall above. All I would need is some leftover paint in different colours, a brush and some tape. As a result I will have a gorgeously striped wall, with a dramatic effect.

This idea is kind of cute too. It wouldn't be too difficult to carry out either. All I need to do is to find a design I like, copy it to a thick paper/cardboard and cut out the design to make a template. All I would have to do then is press the template on the wall and paint over it with white paint to get the trick done.

This one is probably the easiest. Just paint the wall over with blackboard paint and then go nuts with white chalk. I could write my things to do list on my bedroom wall! That way I won't forget anything :-) But maybe this idea is better for some other room.

Gorgeous and unique trays

On the internet I came across this collection of very special trays. So beautiful and unique it's art. These trays are by a french designlabel called Ibride. The Philosophy behind Ibride is to combine different elements into something new. The name of the label, Ibride, comes therefore from the word hybride.

What makes these trays so special is the combination of nostalgic images and the use of a modern material: laminate. The good news is that the trays are for sale! The prices range from $90.00 to about $196.00. For buying the prodcuts online visit eg Burke Design.

Inspiration: Design hotels

I've just recently been on vacation. I've been home allmost a month and allready I feel the urge to travel again. Now, I'm quite broke from my last vacation so I won't be able to book a new adventure any time soon. However, this doesn't stop me from surfing the internet looking for countries and hotels I would love to go to. Who knows, some day I might afford to visit these fantastic places. Meanwhile... I'll dream on and try saving up some money ;-) Here are a few dream locations and beautiful design hotels....
