Dutch Design - Tweet by Mo Man Tai

I have posted about Dutch design label Mo Man Tai before here and here and now they have a lovely new product out that I want to share with you, called Tweet. Everyone nowadays sends e-mails, text messages, tweets, Facebook messages, etc. But let's be honest, receiving a handwritten card or note is still the best. Mo Man Tai came up with this sweet idea of sending your loved one a handwritten 'tweet', a little note deliverd by a laser cut metal birdie. How cute is that?

Tweet comes with a stack of tiny paper sheets and is available via the website: www.momantai-design.com. Mo Man Tai has lots more great design goodies like the stainless serviette ring, steel egg cup and waxlight rack seen here.

Mocca & Me weekend quick list

Hi there my lovely readers! The weekend is almost over, but I still wanted to give you a quick list of my favorite things this week. My absolute favorite thing this week is the new Mocca & Me logo!!! My sweet and super creative friend Raru of the blog 79 Ideas is also a talented graphic designer and she designed the new Mocca & Me logo. I am so happy with it, in fact I think I am in love with my new logo! What do you think, share your thoughts will you? (And don't say you don't like it, 'cause I will hunt you down and slap you!)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Natascha xoxo

Eye candy

I might as well admit I have a thing for dark walls, that is probably the reason I chose this image as eyecandy of the week. What I also like in this kitchen are the simple white kitchen cabinets and the fact that there are no top cabinets. The kitchen therefor doesn't have a typical kitchen look. Very cool. And I am also really diggin' the lamp!

Let's visit... Nacho Figueras in Argentina

Have you ever seen a house and fell in love with it? Well, I have to say I fell in love with this one. It is the home of Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras, just outside of Buenos Aires. I love everything about the place and the more I look at the photo's the more I realise that every single detail in this house is stunning. And I really love the fact that the they used the same colour pallete throughout the house. Figueras has fantastic taste and an eye for great design.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Eye candy

The window is usually not a spot that people give too much thought to. I love that in this room the owners spend time carefully decorating the window. It is actually quite easy to pull this look off with just a low sidetable or bench, two stools, two lamps and some decor items. This way a window becomes a true eyecatcher!

Fab find! Porcelain by El ajuar de Maria

My, oh my! Do I have a fab find for you!!! I came across some absolutely gorgeous porcelain by spanish brand El ajuar de Maria, which translates to Maria's trousseau. El Ajuar de María creates tableware with exclusive and innovative designs. According to it's creators, there was too much tableware with conventional design, so a hobby turned into a brand of chic tableware with a touch of vintage. The porcelain is just too pretty to eat from I think. Check out the entire collection on the website www.elajuardemaria.com. Even the photography for the advertisement is a true feast for the eyes.

Blog alert! RAZ Aesthetic

I have a very special blog I want to share with you... ..... RAZ Aesthetic is a very cool and very stylish blog by New York fashion and lifestyle photographer Shiraz Ansari. I had dropped him a line telling him how much I loved his blog and Shiraz send me a lovely e-mail back. He says he started the blog RAZ (the last part of his name Shiraz; RAZ also means "secret" in Urdu, the language from his country of origin, Pakistan) in 2008 and it has become his journal of all that inspires him. The blog features posts on home stores across the US, global interiors and many edgy and fab items on culture, media, people and trends. All of this dipped in lots and lots of sensuality! This blog is quite different from the blogs I've featured before but it is one that you have to check out! Visit Shiraz's portfolio here and check out his blog: http://razlifenyc.blogspot.com.

Lonny Magazine's fourth issue is out now!

Every time a new issue of Lonny Magazine is out I get so excited! I've spend most of my sunday reading the magazine, back to back. Main theme in this edition is Eco-chic and again the editors did an amazing job. I learned that Eco-chic doesn't have to be boring, but can be exciting and truly chic. My favorites are an article on the new NY appartment of Michelle Adams, Editor in Chief of Lonny Magazine. But I also realy enjoyed reading the article about Trading Spaces designer Laura Day, I LOVE her sense of style. I would give an arm or a leg to trade spaces with her! Read the entire issue of this edition of Lonny Magazine here and learn all about Eco-chic.

Snapshots - headboard inspiration

An ex-collegue of mine and his girlfriend are remodeling their house and he had asked me if I could help him out with finding some pieces for his home. He is looking for a padded footstool and headboard, like in the first image. I've roamed the internet in search for these items and found a few stores where they sold padded footstools, but finding a headboard is much harder. So, if any of you know a shop with padded headboards that ships to The Netherlands, let me know. Anyway, this all inspired me to go through my digital collection of bedroom photo's and share with you my favorite one's of padded headboards...

Dutch photographer Marjon Hoogervorst

I always get inspired by people with a great love or passion for something. Dutch photographer Marjon Hoogervorst has a passion for photography and a special love for interiors, design and stills. My kinda girl! What I love most about her work is that you can see life in the photographs. The spaces don't look too sterile but they feel real and lived-in. I love the images shown here and I see a few great design items. I've spotted a Butterfly chair in the first image, an Eames lounge chair in the fourth picture and Copper shade lamps and part of a grey Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen in the eight photo. Check out more of Marjon's work on her website www.vorstin.nl.
