Fab find! Design shop Edwin Pelser

Today I found the most fabulous design shop, and so close to where I live! Edwin Pelser is a design shop where you can find the most fab designers, labels and art. The shop is situated in the great shopping street Piet Heinstraat here in the Hague. Edwin Pelser's shop carries labels like; Droog, Pols Potten, House of Origin, Design House Stockholm and many more. The store also offers the work of starting young designers. Edwin Pelser is not only a store but it is also a place where you can access portfolios of creative specialist. Need to redecorate or looking for a special piece? You'll find it here. If ever you're in The Hague you absolutely must visit this great design shop. For more information and contact info go to

I was especialy excited to see Tom Dixon's Copper Shade lamp hanging in the shop. As you know, I've been obsessing over this lamp for ages! Someday when I've saved up enough, I will know where to buy it.

What is also great is that you can rent the backroom of the store (see picture below), for meetings or just for yourself if you need a creative environtment to work.

Great art on canvas by graphic design studio Identity5

I recieved an e-mail from Identity5, a graphic design studio that makes art prints on canvas, to inform me about their new collection. All prints are originally designed by Identity5 and have a kind of retro look and feel to them I think. A great idea if you want something special on your wall. My favorite is the 123... collection. The philosophy behind this design is simple; your favorite number, for example the number of times he asked you out before you said yes, birthdate of a loved one or the zipcode of your first home, and turn it into wall art. A great conversation piece at parties! View the entire collection by Identity at

I absolutely adore the shelving in the first image. How great is that to display your art work or books? Hope you are having a great weekend.

Let's visit... Meg Ryan at her beach house

We all know actress Meg Ryan, mostly for her roles in the romantic comedies When Harry met Sally, Sleepless in Seatle and You've got mail. Let's visit Meg at her beautiful beach house; a refuge where she can spend time with her children, she says. I love the nostalgic and romantic look of the place where all the details of the barn, posts and beams, were left exposed. And I also love the high ceilings and the amount of light that gets into the house. My favorite room is the dining area in the first image, it is stunning.

In my previous post I introduced you to interior architect Remy Meijers and showed you some of his work in that field. But Remy is also a talented designer and has made a great furniture line for Dutch online design shop and design label Odesi. Remy's designs are sober and strong and every piece is an eyecatcher. Here is a look at his line for Odesi. My favorite piece is the porcelain cabinet in the second photo. What is your favorite piece?

Colour inspiration: orange madness

As most of you know, the World Cup soccer games are going on right now in South Africa. Yesterday the Dutch team placed itself for the final match on sunday. The whole country went mad and there is a real orange craze going on. Orange is the colour of the Royal family and the national colour of Holland. Homes and appartment buildings are decorated with orange flags and lights and everyone is dressed in orange. So why not have a little orange splash inside the home? Here is some orange inspiration and here too! I am keeping my fingers crossed for the Dutch team on sunday. Are you following the World Cup games?
