Mocca & Me weekend quick list

Hello dears! It's the favorite day of the week for most of us: friday! I have quick list of great links I found this past week. What are you up to this weekend?

Have a beautiful weekend all!
Natascha xoxo

Eye candy

What do I love about this image? What is there not to love? The fireplace is beautiful, the simple decorating on the mantel and I really like the lilac velvet armchairs - very chique and feminine.

Blog tip
Check out scandinavian photographer Jessica's blog Vita villa vila. Lovely photographs and lots of inspiration.

Sfgirlbybay did a makeover of her home office, you'll love it! Check it out here!

For kids
I don't have kids myself, so that's why you won't find many kids related things on this blog. But I need to point out to you this really beautiful and super cute nursery I saw over at MadeByGirl in an unexpected colourcombo: grey and peach)!
And since we're talking about kids, check out this great theme for a kids party: sushi! over at Achados de decoracao. So fun!

Sneak peak
Remember I told you in the last M&M weekend quick list that I would be picking up my Tom Dixon Coppershade lamp I ordered? Well, I have picked it up and it is hanging above my dining table :-D I've posted a pic on the Facebook page! Click here to go to the FB page to see the lamp (under photo's) and for a little sneak peak into my home. (While you're there, become a fan :-)

Listen to
I love this next song by Bruno Mars: Grenade! 'Cause don't we all want to have someone in our life who would catch a granade for us?

Obsessing over... forrest wallpaper by Cole and Son

We design and decor lovers are always obsessing over something. For me it used to be the Tom Dixon Copper shade lamp. I now have this lamp and so, I need something new to obsess over! My current obsession is this forrest wallpaper by Cole and Son. I had seen it before on different blogs. Then I saw it in the movie Orphan, the family's home was decorated with the grey and white version of this wallpaper. It was then that I saw how very super cool this wallpaper is. I'm thinking I want this wallpaper for my hallway. Here are some images. What are your thoughts?

Room crush ♥

Dears! I saw this room and fell head over heals in love with it! I love the dark floors, the beams running throughout the place, the white and grey basics and then the little pops of colour. You can't help but have a crush on this room! The rest of the house is just as gorgeous. Click here to see the entire house.

Dutch photographer Rachel Dubbe

Here are some bits and pieces from the portfolio of Dutch photographer Rachel Dubbe. Rachel's work has been featured in many Dutch interior and decor magazine's. Besides shooting interiors she also does lifestyle shoots, portraits and travel photgraphy. I like how in her photgraphs she zooms in on things, making the subjects in her photo's appear special. You can admire her entire portfolio on her website

Blog alert! Pimpelwit

I am so happy to introduce you to this next blog: Pimpelwit by Marieke van Proosdij! I'm excited because one, it's a Dutch blog! I haven't found that many Dutch interior/decor blogs out there. And I love to promote everything Dutch. Two, I'm double excited because the editor is an interior decorator and prop stylist. That means you'll get ideas, tips and inspiration from someone in the business. And three, I'm super excited because on this blog you'll find great Dutch interiors and you'll get a glimpse of her work. So, three reason to drop whatever you're doing and hop on over to Pimpelwit at The blog is in Dutch, but there is a translator button top right on the blog that'll translate the site for you (it'll give you some funky english, but hey, you'll be able to understand most of it. And it has lot of eyecandy!) Enjoy!

In the spotlight: Dutch label GELUKKIG

Hello there! I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. Today I want to put the spotlight on the label Gelukkig, which means happy in Dutch. Gelukkig is an all Dutch furniture and accessories label (all produced in the Netherlands) with the aim to make a few good, basic designs that you then can combine with eachother, creating your own personal style. I think their collection is fabulous! For more information visit their website (in Dutch): Below is an overview of their collection and my favorite picks. Have a beautiful week!

The couch (above) in denim fabric looks really comfy. I lke the simple design, Now, throw these fab pillows on it and you'll have one cool looking couch.
This armchair is called Nest and looks like you can curl up in it and stay there for quite a while. I love the zipper accent!
These side tables are so cute! I love the retro yet fresh look. I definitely have a crush on the first one. Would love to have it for my little balcony!

Let's visit... John Legend in his NY apartment

I am not a huge fan of John Legend's music, but I am a HUGE fan of his NY apartment - which he shares with his girlfriend (lucky woman!) The place is just jaw dropping beautiful! I am in love with the floor-to-ceiling windows, he must have such a spectaculair view. And the colour on the wall, don't get me started on that! Sexiest grey I have seen. Eyecathcers are the custom-made bookcases displaying his awards and favorite books. But I just love everything really. So John, if you're ever looking for a house-sitter when you're out of town, CALL ME! Seriously!

DIY tip! Easy headboard...

I was flipping through my folders with collected images and came across this one and thought: 'this could be a DIY project: a quick and easy headboard'. All you need is some pretty (left over) wallpaper and some ornamental ceiling trim (I think that's what it's called in English, no?). No need for instructions, with a little imagination you should figure out how to do this one. Right? Inexpensive and easy. I love it! Happy weekend!

Beautiful Brooklyn home of carpet designer Malene Barnett

Most of you are familiar with the work of photographer Todd Selby and his website The Selby. From time to time I like to go over and roam through his work for inspiration. This time I found a true gem! The beautiful home of carpet designer Malene Barnett! Malene's has a typical Broolyn NY home with a modern and fresh twist. What I absolutely love about this place is that is very colourful, but without the colour being too overbearing. Full of colour but yet light and airy and fresh. This is colourful done the proper way!!! And I love the ethnic artifacts and the kitchen is heaven. What do you think?

Wishlist - five things to want right now!

It's been a while since I've done a wishlist but I found some cool things you'd love. And I decided to do a little theme; circles. Just because I'm really into round shaped things lately. I'll walk you through my finds. First there is this sweet white 50's inspired sofa I think is just simple and beautiful. Then there is the beautiful carpet by Raffi (I've blogged about Raffi before here), very elegant. I found this industrial white floorlamp which I think is just really cool. The coffee mugs have a subtle detail. And the gorgeous cushion by Margo Selby (whom I've blogged about before here) really pulls everything together, don't you think? So, which one is you favorite piece?

1. Cute '50's sofa Julep bench (via Stoolz*), 2. Carpet Clay Circles by Raffi, 3. Floorlamp iron Istanbul white by the label It's about RoMi (via Sir Jones*), 4.*), 5. Cushion (by Margo Selby).

Peek-a-boo! Stylish Swedish apartment

I am a fan of Swedish interior design. It's clean, a bit sober, a bit minimalistic and so full of style!!! Also the case in this next Swedish apartment. There's not much furniture and stuff, but every piece is stylish making the whole very appealing to the eye. Nice!
