Hello dears! This past week has gone by so fast! Can't believe how quick time flies, when you're busy. But the weekend is here and I'm going to enjoy it. My plans? Going rafting with friends - exciting and scary. What are your plans? Whatever you're doing, have a fab weekend!
Have fun and stay safe!
What a sweet little room. Could be a guest room. Love the bookshelf and the drawers. I wouldn't mind spending some time here.
How fabulous is this Paris apartment? It's cool and masculine and stylish! I love the dark wallpaper with the strong graphic print and the dark cowhide carpet. Cool sofa and chairs with a bit of a retro feel to them. Enjoy the home tour.
Too bad my house isn't big enough to put in all the cool things I come across online. Or maybe it's a good thing - otherwise I would probably be broke by now. But, I can share with you all the pretty things right here on Mocca & Me. Here is my wish list of five things in black and white to want right now.
Hello dears! It's time to introduce you to another cool Dutch blog: &SUUS. The blog is written by the stylish Suzanne, who is one of the nicest people I met online. &SUUS is a lovely blog that brings you beautiful posts about decor inspiration and interior styling. It is on my list of daily reads now. &SUUS is a relatively new blog, launched in june of this year, but is a lovely read! So, hop on over and show some love! www.ensuus.blogspot.nl.
Not too many words for this words of wisdom post. But sometimes, few words are more than enough. This post is a reminder to all of us to be thankful! Too often we sit and complain about things that go wrong, things we don't have, goals we haven't achieved, the life we're not living - and feel unhappy as a result of that. Once in a while it is good to stop and remind ourselves to be thankful for all the good and positive things in our lives. You'll realize there is so much to feel happy about. Today I feel happy, because I have so much to be thankful for! What are you thankful for? I wish you a happy week, dears!
Weekend's here!!! :-) I was so looking forward to the weekend. I'm going sailing saturday with my father and brother and spending time this weekend with people dear to me. What are your plans? I'd love to hear. Hope you have a great weekend, dears! Here's my list of great links I found this week.
Have fun en stay safe,
This chic and feminine living room is pure eye candy. Do I have to explain why? Didn't think so. That's right!
I love to eat! But I don't like to cook and am quite bad at it, I must admit. So, I don't cook much. But sometimes I get tired of take-out food and microwave dinners and I cook myself a nice and healthy meal. Here is a recipe for salmon spaghetti with plum tomatoes and avocado I'm thinking of trying.
I'm not a big fan of all white walls but in this home the white walls look great. By having white floors as well, the house looks fresh and light - even when there is dark furniture in it. The strong contrast between the crisp white setting and the dark furniture pieces is what gives this home character, don't you think? Enjoy the tour.
I have a confession to make. Sometimes, when I roam the online sphere looking at decor images, I like to pretend I'm an interior designer. In my head I then pull together random photo's of spaces I like and think up a new home. Don't worry, I have other normal-people-hobbies too :-) Today I fell in love with these images in black, white and gray and decided that these rooms together would look like a fabulous place. Love the black chair in the living room, the black lamp in the bedroom and the bar stools in the kitchen. I could live here!
I'm dropping by real quick to share with you to share images of this light and airy Scandinavian home. Favorite part about this home is the kitchen: no top cabinets! Clean, uncluttered and spacious. Enjoy the home tour, dears!
Hello monday! It's the start of a new week and time to share with you some words of inspiration! I believe that, if you look close enough, there is something of beauty to be found in everything around you. In the past few days I've spent long and short moments talking to different people - old friends, new connections and random encounters. And I realize, when I look back, that there was a little gift to be found in every one of those conversations; a new way of looking at things, a lesson to be learned, good advice, a smile, a notion of gratitude, a spark of inspiration, a peek into someone's soul. To me that is magic! It's what happens when you look at the world around you with glittering eyes; you find a little magic in the most unexpected places. I'm hoping to find more magic around me in the time to come. It's my wish for you too. Have a magical week, dears!
Hello dears! I usually share my quick list of fun links I found along the week on friday. But I haven't had time to post earlier. Now it's sunday and the weekend is almost over, but I didn't want to keep these links from you. I hope you had a fantastic weekend!
Big hug and take care,
Love this space! It has high ceilings with lots of sunlight pouring in. And those beams are fantastic, gives the room character. I'm a bit puzzled though, is that a mirror behind those beams? Great idea!
I have a colleague who, besides being one of the nicest people I know, is also a passionate and fantastic photographer. He has a couple of projects he's working on, but has a big love for concert photography. He recently launched his own website where he shares his work: www.rinsefokkema.nl. Check it out!
Yesterday I met up with a friend and we ended up in one of the coolest coffee places in The Hague: Lola's bikes & coffee! Think the name says it all? No! Because at Lola you don't get just ordinary bikes and coffee! Everything in this shop tells a story of passion: www.lolabikesandcoffee.nl.
Lola is not a traditional bike shop. The bikes you find here are not mass made but are specialties; exclusive, innovative, made with vision and love and all tell a story of passion. Lola deals with a selected group of specialty bike makers and producers and every bike in the shop is produced with love and is a piece of art - and is displayed as such.
Besides bikes you can also buy biking accessories and bike parts but also books, t-shirts, magazine's and maps. And you can also have your bike repaired in the repair shop downstairs. You can find information on bike tours and other biking events as well.
And then - my favorite part - there is the coffee at Lola. And again, not just ordinary coffee! At Lola they aspire to serve you the best and most delicious coffee! And they go to great lengths to achieve that. Quality coffee beans, roasted by one of the best in the country, made by a true barista using special coffee setting methods. Coffee made with passion and served with love. And you taste it with every sip you take!
And as a decor and design lover Lola does it for me too! Fabulous decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Cool yet unpretentious. Love the rough brick wall, industrial lamps and vintage looking furniture. But what I'm most excited about is that you can feel the owners' passion throughout this shop, in every detail. Their passion for bikes and coffee, passion for quality and specialty products, passion for bringing their clients the best they can find.
So, if you're ever in The Hague you must visit this fabulous place! Chances are you'll find me there since it's my new favorite coffee place. Lola bikes & coffee is located at Noordeinde 91, The Hague.
